Surprise we are Pregnant BBQ!

To announce that we were expecting we invited our friends to a BBQ party we called:

MEAT + 1

We told our friends we wanted to kick off the spring right with a good old fashioned Meat Party, Where meat is the main attraction.  The + 1 was explained away by telling our guests to bring a + 1.  Bring a dish to share and a friend!

It worked great!  They didn't suspect a thing!  To capture the fun we had our friend Deb come over first to take photos of  us breaking the news.  So of course, Deb was first:
Erin made my favorite face ever!
These guys didn't even crack.
I asked Adam if he brought buns to the BBQ,
Since he didn't I told him it was OK,
I had one in my oven.
Part of the fun was timing our reactions with our friends!
Oh Brothers who make the same surprised face.
Charlie was the sweetest!  His girlfriend knew for months and didn't tell him!
Proof that Katelyn CAN keep a secret!
 YAY!

So fun.

Brooklyn Boulders

Today Genell and I went to Brooklyn Boulders!

We were a bit out of sorts today, but still had a great time.  I played a little with my new obsession of my time-laps camera  http://photojojo.com/store/awesomeness/time-lapse-camera/

I have been taking lots of videos with it, and need to edit.  They will be here soon.

Diving into 2012

I'm getting ready to start a lot of projects in 2012.  Imagine each marble as one of them.  Yup that's how many I have on my mind.  With a great husband by my side, I don't see how I can fail.

We are going to start with blogging more.  I'm debating if I want to publish my list of goals...maybe midway, so you can see how many I have crossed off.

Happy New Year! Hope it's the best yet!  Take photo of it! (hehe breevy!)

Jell-O: Taste the Rainbow!

I had an idea that kept me awake at night. I had visions of color...more specifically the rainbow.  So I did some calculations. After doing some more accurate calculations once I was awake. Here is what the rest of my day looked like:

I have two Jell-O Egg molds.  Each mold has 6 eggs.  Each egg holds 60 ml. Each box of jello makes 200 ml.

So I put in 10 ml of each color in the the egg molds.  After each color I put the molds in the fridge for about 2 hours for the Jell-O to firm up.
It took me all day, and there was a bit extra Jell-O so I put them in extra molds.
  But the results were super!

This gives me even more ideas...

Kiko Is Here

Last week Andy and I adopted an 8 year old Shiba Inu named Kiko.

She has adjusted well

She is a little chunk! Her face smushes up all the time!

Not to mention her double chin!

Today we went for a walk in Laurel Hill Cemetery

Pudgy puppy!

I think she liked it.
